A Health Coach is a supportive mentor and wellness authority who works with clients to help them feel their best through food and lifestyle changes. Instead of prescribing one diet or way of exercising, Health Coaches tailor individualized wellness programs to meet their clients' needs.

Relationships, exercise, career, and spirituality are just as important to your health as the food you eat. Health Coaches understand this and take a holistic approach to supporting the whole person. Find out how health coaching stacks up against other health and wellness jobs.

Could one conversation change your life?

So you might be wondering how this action item will build a healthier you? It’s not about eating whole foods, staying active and hydrated, getting enough rest, self care, etc. etc. But, it is a very important lesson to learn, and it’s absolutely something that I need to hear (and do) right now: Never Give Up! . Technically, this item was #50 on the list, with the idea that you always strive to build a healthier you no matter what. Number 1 on this list was to Commit to Your Health, so it makes sense that 50 would be to Never Give Up, right? But due to the current situation in my own life, I need to hear this action item TODAY and maybe some of you need to hear it too. For me, poor mental health = poor physical health = poor mental health. It’s a vicious cycle to break! . Lately, I have given up - on pretty much everything around me - my pursuit of a new career, my diabetes management, my home environment, my social commitments, etc. Yes, some days are good, especially when I’m helping others to get healthy and happy, but most days I’m just letting things collapse around me. Over the last few months my depression has taken over in a most unhealthy way, and I need to take back the wheel and turn this ship around. Cause guess what? Even though I’m completely lost right now and things seem a bit hopeless, deep down inside I want to be happy again. I want to feel excited to wake up everyday. I want to eat healthy and delicious food that makes me feel good inside and out. And I want to run again. I want to do all the things that I know will make me feel great again! . So I’m committing today to Never Give Up! Yes, I’ve stumbled backwards quite a bit and yes, I need to make some drastic changes to get my life back on track. As long as I just keep moving forward as best as I can - where success might be just taking a shower some days and that’s ok - I know that I can make it. . If you’re struggling with something as well, no matter what it may be, then keep this action item close at hand and Never Give Up! You can do it!! Just keep pushing forward!! P.S. and please phone a friend when you need to ???????? - I’m a great listener and always willing to help!

How Often Should You Exercise?

It’s an age-old question: How many times a week should I be exercising? Unfortunately, there’s no magic number or simple formula to find the answer. Just like with food, the concept of bio-individuality applies to exercise, and what works for one person may not work for another.
