A Health Coach is a supportive mentor and wellness authority who works with clients to help them feel their best through food and lifestyle changes. Instead of prescribing one diet or way of exercising, Health Coaches tailor individualized wellness programs to meet their clients' needs.

Relationships, exercise, career, and spirituality are just as important to your health as the food you eat. Health Coaches understand this and take a holistic approach to supporting the whole person. Find out how health coaching stacks up against other health and wellness jobs.

Ready to Kick Sugar and Processed Junk to the Curb???

10-Day Detox Program Information and Registration - POSTPONED UNTIL OCTOBER/NOVEMBER - TBD

My next 10-Day Detox Program begins September 10, 2018, with day 1 of the detox kicking off on September 19! This program is based on Dr. Mark Hyman’s 10-day Detox Diet (also similar to Whole30 and other whole food-based programs), eliminating for 10 days those foods that may cause inflammation in the body and those that may contribute to blood sugar imbalances. It’s one of the most effective ways to find out how various foods affect your health and wellness! I have completed this program multiple times (for varying lengths of time), and it has truly changed the way I eat on a daily basis. Each time I come away with a better understanding of how food affects my mood, blood sugars, blood pressure, joint pain, and perimenopausal symptoms, just to name a few.

Even though it is called the 10-Day Detox Program, this group program provides you with support from preparation through adding in some of the previously eliminated foods after the 10-day detox. It's 4 weeks of having your own health coach, and I believe you will walk away from this experience with a strong sense of what to eat for life!! For the first 9 days, you begin cutting back on added sugar, processed foods, caffeine, and alcohol while gaining insight into how the program works. By the time Day 1 of the 10-day detox begins, you are fully prepared to go "cold turkey," focusing on whole-food proteins, healthy fats, and good carbs in the form of dark leafy greens/vegetables and some fruit. After the 10-day detox, you begin to slowly add back in the eliminated foods of your choice (starchy veggies, beans, grains, dairy) to see how your body reacts.

Want to kick sugar and processed junk to the curb but not ready to quit some of the eliminated whole foods for 10 days, such as whole grains, beans, or starchy veggies? Join us anyways and tailor the 10-day detox to work for you! I will provide an alternate 10-day meal plan that cuts out the junk and added sugar and focuses on eating whole foods. This is a great option for those that aren't ready to fully take the plunge or those that already know their body can tolerate some of the eliminated foods.

During the 4 weeks, you will receive:

  • Detailed information to complete the detox, provided 2-3 times/day from preparation through transition
(i.e., foods to focus on, foods to eliminate, preparation tips, stress reduction techniques, exercise recommendations, supplements to consider)
  • An easy to follow detox-friendly meal plan (you also will have enough information to create your own plan, which I strongly recommend)
  • Some of my favorite recipes
  • Tips for success
  • Group support through a private Facebook page
  • My support and encouragement as your personal health coach

The group will be open from September 10 through October 7, and the cost of the program is $39 ($19 for previous participants). Sign-ups will be accepted up until September 19, day 1 of the detox. If you do not have a Facebook account, you can also participate via email. However, I highly recommend joining the Facebook group to receive the full support of the group. The more support you have, the more successful you will be!! Please feel free to contact me directly at triciaontrack@gmail.com with any questions.

Please click below to sign up, and I look forward to detoxing with you in September!!

Could one conversation change your life?

Starting over is hard - really, really, REALLY hard. Right now I feel like my life is one big tangled yarn ball of starting over - covering just about every aspect of my life. Most days I can’t seem to find the starting point, or I don’t even want to attempt to look for it. This mindset it changing... slowly, thankfully. . Running may not be the biggest change I can make, but it’s something I greatly miss and absolutely need more of in my life!! It gives me that positive mindset boost I so desperately crave. Last time I ran? July 1!!!! Yes, I had a major calf injury which prevented me from even attempting to run, but this year has been a series of starts and stops. Run one day and then three weeks go by without another run. Last year I ran 2 half marathons - what happened?? Life. ???? . Today I took that first step - I started over - I pushed through - and I MOVED FORWARD. The entire 3.5 miles (which was slow and included some walking intervals) I thought about the concept of starting over and how it’s so difficult to take that first step, whether it be running or some other aspect of your life. Maybe it’s time to embrace starting over as something exciting, something new and shiny, something to look forward to and not to be feared. Maybe, just maybe, starting over won’t seem so difficult. Maybe I can and will find the starting point and untangle that ball of “life.” Besides - starting over (even if it’s again and again) means you haven’t given up! That’s a good thing!! . What’s holding you back from starting? What motivates you to push forward and keep going? . #icandoit #motivation #startingover #fitness #exercisemotivation #exercise #running #strength #getoutandmove #healthychoices #healthylifestyle #healthyhabits #fitspo #getoutdoors #postrunselfie #t1d #t1dlookslikeme #diabetes #diabetic #defeatdiabetes #beatdepression #iinhealthcoach #healthcoach

Natural Ways to Reduce Anxiety

You wake up at 3am with your heart racing. You have a pit in your stomach. You feel restless, light-headed, and hot. Your mind starts to race, and before you know it, you’re worrying about the list of things that need to be done tomorrow. Though mind and body reactions may vary, these symptoms are often an indication of anxiety.
